I am the VP of Mobile, Data & Engagement etouches, the second largest Event Management Software provider in the world.
As a tech entrepreneur, my focus is on marketing automation, big data, AI & machine learning, startups and growth.
I co-founded Hostbasket in 2000, and was Hostbasket’s Technical Director for 5 years. The company became the largest hosting provider in Belgium and was acquired by Telenet.
After Hostbasket, I co-founded Q-layer, together with Kristof De Spiegeleer. Q-layer enabled cloud computing in datacenters. The company was acquired by Sun Microsystems (Oracle) in 2009, and through this acquisition I became Director Cloud Computing Platform Strategy at Sun.
Together with Hans Nissens, I founded Oxynade, a leading white-label eTicketing platform supporting multiple brands in Europe. I am currently a non-excutive board member of Oxynade.
Most recently, I was seed investor in TapCrowd, and became the company’s CEO in 2012. TapCrowd is a mobile app building & mobile marketing platform for events. TapCrowd was acquired by etouches (USA) in 2015, and as a result I became VP of Mobile, Data & Engagement at etouches.
I am also the owner of iHub, where I provide office space and shared services to startups, in the centre of Ghent, Belgium.
I live near Ghent, Belgium with my wife and 3 kids. In my free time, you can find me baking Neapolitan style pizza’s in our wood oven.
